Guests must be able to walk approximately 1.2 miles over flat, uneven and gravel surfaces. Tour suitable for elderly but not physically challenged persons. A motorized wagon train transports passengers from the parking lot to the entrance gate of the Valley of the Kings. Pay toilets are found inside the Valley of the Kings in the form of chemical toilets housed in large ship's containers. Bottled water while visiting Valley of the Kings and Karnak is recommended. No cameras or videos are allowed inside the tombs of the kings. Entry into the Valley of the Kings includes a visit to 3 tombs. The visit to the Tomb of King Tutankhamun at the Valley of the Kings requires an extra ticket amounting to US$ 19 p.p. and is not part of the tour

Tour details:

Day 1  

Depart from Safaga in convoy for a journey lasting approximately 3 1/2 hours. The luxurious motor coaches are fully air conditioned, Sit back and enjoy the unfolding vistas of barren mountains, flat desert and fertile areas as your guide introduces you to the history of Upper Egypt. Arriving in Luxor & continue driving across the Nile to its West Bank where the Valley of the Kings is situated to visit three of the amazing royal tombs. Driving past Deir El Bahari, view the finest building in Egypt, a momentous masterpiece and one of the most impressive in the world, the magnificent funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Before crossing to the East Bank you will stop for photographs at the famous statues of Amenophis III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon, standing exactly where they once flanked the entrance to the Temple 5000 ago. , Following your visit to the Colossi of Memnon, Take time out relax and enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch in a deluxe hotel. After lunch, drive to your hotel. The evening is at your leisure to rest or explore. Guests have the option of attending the Light and Sound show at the Karnak temples, Overnight in Luxor. (Hotels used are Sheraton Luxor & Sonesta St. George or similar based on availability at time of booking.)

Day 2 (Luxor - Safaga )

After an early breakfast, drive the greatest place of worship in history, the breathtaking Karnak Temple with its unique Hypostyle hall, sacred lake and avenue of the Sphinxes. Let your imagination soar and with the mind's eye witness the glorious entrance to the temple by Alexander the Great, a god paying his respects to another We finish our tour in Luxor by visiting the Luxor temple with its great obelisks and the great sphinx avenue, before joining the scheduled convoy for the return journey to Safaga.
